Over the past several weeks our church has been blessed with a number of new converts. Several of these have been teenagers and our youth Pastor, Cliff Easter came to me and asked me to put together a four week Bible study to help get them started in discipleship. Our goal in these first four weeks is to help get them established in their understanding of the gospel and to help them to see how Jesus is the central figure in all of the Bible. We also wanted to help them get started in some basic spiritual disciplines that will help them grow in their relationship with the Lord — namely Bible study, prayer, and being part of a small group of believers. We have entitled the course “First Steps for New Belivers: Getting Started in Your Walk with Christ” and I am making available free for anyone who wants to download and use it in their discipleship ministry. You may make as many copies of the material that you desire and share it online with whoever you wish, the only request that I make is that you not alter or change the material without permission. My prayer is that God will use this study to introduce many to a lifestyle of discipleship focused on taking the gospel to the nations.
